![]() ![]() This means the game could be titled "Elemental Stars" and would have the same effect - though it would also perhaps not sounded as cool in english. The 'alchemy' part of the title honestly sounds like it was put to sound cool, with perhaps loose relations to elements or tile conversion mechanic, though thats a stretch. This also makes sense for White Night Aurora). One deduction may be that alchemy stars takes elements from the night sky (since the game has strong themes of celestials, eclipses, stars etc. Notice neither groups related to alchemy star's thunder, fire, water, wood. ![]() The basic elements in european alchemy would be fire, water, wind, earth. The basic elements in asia (specifically china) would be metal, wood, fire, water, earth. Or else you also think donuts = sushi in pokemon. You shouldn't also blindly trust localisation. The unlocalised name is: White Night Aurora. Tell FE players that their game is about alchemy and you'd be laughed at.Īlchemy stars is the english name. That is so vague, you're basically saying most gacha games, including fire emblem are alchemy related. No, I meant the four basic elements that is "air, earth, water, fire" associated to alchemy. I can't find anything about it in the friend's list or from the Colossus menus. ![]() Would any lore buffs like to enlighten me/point me towards a post that has already asked/addressed this (at which point I will remove this post if needed), or am I doomed to suffer for eternity, haunted by my lack of knowledge about the alchemical principles which runs through this game? And I don't really see any other mentions of alchemy. There's the crafting mechanic, but it's hardly central or groundbreaking enough to have the entire game named after it (and even there its not called alchemy). But I'm 7 out of 8 chapters in, 2/3 extra chapters done and I have no idea when Alchemy ever factors in into Alchemy Stars. Like, I know that a lot of mobile gacha games have near meaningless titles which either loosely ties to the game's ip/inspirations, themes or has a specific meaning ingame (Arknights being inspired by the Knights Hospitaller about an organisation trying to create an "Ark" for the Infected, Counter:Side being about a world with a Normalside and a Counterside where Corrupted Objects come from). Where's the alchemy? I feel like this question has probably (definitely) been asked before in this sub somewhere, but I didn't manage to find anything (might just be bad at searching). ![]()
